Ofelia YANGArtist, Visual Designer, Animator, Illustrator, Drummer
With a background in character design and animation, she studied in the United States, lived and worked in Hong Kong, and spent four years in Hengchun, Taiwan, where she developed a deep bodily memory of places. Her creative practice moves fluidly across video, theatre, picture books, and sound, using characters as a method of seeing and listening. Through community co-creation, she learned African drumming and began exploring the possibilities of diverse artistic media. She approaches reality through companionship and collaboration, allowing her work to become a medium for dialogue and documentation—responding not only to the surrounding environment but also engaging in an ongoing conversation with herself.
