With a virtual radio in hand, travelers freely explore the sound-sensitive landscape of Resonance Radio. Guided by headphones, you'll locate and follow directional sound cues, scanning through static and distortion to uncover melodies and untold stories. At the end of your journey, you'll also have the chance to record your own voice, adding it to the island’s collective resonance.

Resonance Radio is the third immersive digital sound experience from PeninSOUNDla. Travelers wear headphones and follow voice guidance by Golden Horse Award-winning actor Mo Tzu-Yi, who plays the radio host, leading you through Hengchun Old Town in a sound navigation journey.
You'll rely on your ears, walk toward sound sources, explore streets, corners, and hidden spots, gradually unlocking three deeply moving local stories.

Faith on Trial: The Shouts of Pole-Climbing
A centuries-old Ghost Festival ritual, "Pole-Climbing (Qiang Gu)," reflects the beliefs and views on life and death passed down through generations — a tradition of honor and courage.

Once a mountain hunter, he put down his rifle to protect life, dedicating himself to reconciling humanity's relationship with nature. His story is one of harmony and redemption.

Grandma's Yueqin: A Legacy in Music
She grew up with the sound of the yueqin (moon guitar). Though once conflicted, she eventually returned to its melodies, discovering her grandmother's devotion and her own calling.

The journey ends with a unique interactive sound mission: record a few seconds of your own voice — footsteps, wind, a confession to Hengchun, or simply how you feel at that moment. Your voice will be saved into your personal sound collection, becoming part of Hengchun's living sonic archive.
